Director Matt Reeves Confirms Progress On ‘The Batman – Part II’
Director Matt Reeves recently took to social media to open up about the progress on the making of ‘The Batman – Part II’. In a tweet, he revealed that the film’s progress is ongoing at full speed, and thay him and his team are actively working on the film. In addition to the progress, the director also expressed his excitement for the film.
“We are working away right now! really excited! just taking a short break to see the fun,” he wrote in response to a fan asking about updates.
Moreover, this update came after a brief hiatus following the theatrical re-release of ‘The Batman’. The success of ‘The Batman’ has undoubtedly fueled anticipation for its sequel, and fans are eager to see what Reeves has in store for them.

Production For ‘The Batman – Part II’ Is Expected To Begin In Early 2025
While not officially confirmed, some characters from the original film are highly likely to return for the sequel. Robert Pattinson is expected to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman, and Zoe Kravitz is likely to return as Selina Kyle/Catwoman. In a recent interview, Zoe also talked about being ready to return to the Batman franchise.
Consequently, there are rumors that some new characters will be included in the film. These characters are rumored to be some of Batman’s most notorious enemies namely Two-Face and Mr Freeze. However, these are just rumors for now.
Furthermore, while some sources indicated that filming for ‘The Batman – Part II’ commenced in November 2023, Reeves clarified that the shoot has been scheduled to start in early 2025. It also resulted in a shift of film release from 2025 to 2026 due to the delay.
