“We Can’t Escape That Monstrosity”: Zack Snyder Gets Into Controversy After Posting An Image Of Jared Leto As Joker 

Zack Snyder is DC’s beloved director known for his dark and edgy sketches of DC’s superheroes such as Batman, Superman, and various other characters in his version of Justice League. Snyder’s ‘Justice League‘ was loved by fans leading to the director establishing his name in the DC universe.

Snyder’s ‘Justice League‘ holds an impressive 7.9/10 rating on IMDB and 72% on Rotten Tomatoes. His version was released after the 2017 version of Justice League was mutually hated by fans. Despite not being a part of the DC universe anymore Snyder has always been an important part of it. Now, he has shared Jared Leto‘s Joker avatar but invited controversy over it.

Zack Snyder Shares Picture of Jared Leto As Joker To Celebrate 3 Years Of Snyder Cut

Zack Snyder’s version was loved by DC fans all around the world. His 4-hour version of Justice League was released 3 years ago marking an iconic moment for the DC Universe and its fans. to celebrate the 3rd anniversary and to pay tribute to the film, Zack shared an image of Jared Leto’s Joker. 

However, this did not go well with the fans as Leto’s Joker is popularly disliked. In the black and white image of Leto’s Joker posted by Zack, the Joker can be seen with his long hair and a machine gun in his hand. Despite Leto’s impressive performance as the Joker, this version of Snyder’s Joker was never a fan favorite with some people even labeling it as the ‘worst depiction’.

Zack Snyder sharing Leto’s Joker image did not sit well with people. They were quick to troll the director for his choice of image. “No matter how hard we try, we can’t escape that monstrosity” one person on X commented. Most people were mad at Snyder for “‘adding fuel’ to the worst possible depiction of Joker ever.”

However, some people defended Snyder and added that the casting was bad making it not Snyder’s fault. A fan wrote, “He was still horrible in the Snyder Cut. Not necessarily Snyder’s fault, it’s just a really bad casting and character design from Suicide Squad”.
