James Gunn has been clear about this vision for DCU from the beginning. The franchise is falling apart as its competitor, MCU, is taking off into a new phase of storytelling. Gunn has revealed his plans for the franchise by announcing upcoming projects, one of which is ‘Booster Gold.’
The idea behind restructuring DCU is to tend to its cornerstone character in a more narrative-driven way. But there are more exciting but obscure comic book characters the revamped DCU will introduce in their future television and movie projects. ‘Booster Gold’ is a part of the MCU shepherded by James Gunn and Peter Safran, scheduled to debut soon.
