Actress Jennifer Stone recently shared the real reason why the Disney stars never shared the screen on Disney. It was mainly because they dated the same person at different times and it was just normal teenage behavior.

Why Miley Cyrus And Selena Gomez Never Shared Screen Despite Being Disney Show Crossovers
According to ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ alum, Jennifer Stone, Hollywood also had some high school drama too between Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus. The actress hosts a podcast with her former costar David DeLuise, and they recently revisited the infamous episode when ‘Hannah Montana‘, ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ and ‘The Suite Life on Deck‘ were united.
They both recalled why Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez never crossed paths on screen. DeLuise while reflecting on this asked, “Did they not get along during that shoot or something?” Stone replied, “They intermittently got along,” before adding, “I mean, come on. It was, like, high school. They both dated Nick [Jonas]. I think Miley dated him first and then Selena dated him, and then it was it was just messy high school nonsense”. Moreover, they both were just 17 during that time.

Selena Gomez And Miley Cyrus Were Salty Over Nick Jonas
As Stone noted both the actresses dated the youngest Jonas brother for some time. He was first linked with Miley Cyrus in 2006 but they later broke up in 2007. He was then rumored to be dating Selena Gomez in 2008 and the couple was on and off for a while but finally called it quits in 2010.
Considering their current relationship with each other, Stone added, They’re fine now. They’re all good now. But, yeah, it was high school just BS.”
The tension between both the stars was a childish teenager thing and it was short-lived. Both Miley and Selena denied feud rumors in 2016, and claimed it was nothing serious. Moreover, Selena spoke to W Magazine about her relationship with Miley and said, “We never feuded. We both liked the same guy when we were 16.”
She added, “It was just a Hilary Duff–Lindsay Lohan thing: ‘Oh, my God, we like the same boy!’ We are now completely settled in our own lives.” For now, the duo is on friendly terms and have reconnected often with each other.
