Here’s What’s On Barack Obama’s 2023 List
Obama took to social media in his customary style, as he shared two slides on Instagram. The first one featured his top picks for the best books of 2023. The list included gems such as ‘The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store‘ by James McBride, ‘The Maniac‘ by Benjamin Labatut, ‘Poverty by America‘ by Matthew Desmond, and ‘How to Say Babylon‘ by Safiya Sinclair.
Some other noteworthy titles that made it to the list are ‘The Wager‘ by David Grann, ‘Chip War‘ by Chris Miller, and ‘The Vaster Wilds‘ by Lauren Groff.
Moving on to the big screen, Obama laid out considerable praise for three films that happened to be produced by his and Michelle Obama’s production company, Higher Ground. He even admitted his bias for those in a playful tone.
“I’m biased since these movies were produced by Higher Ground, but these are three of the best films I saw this year, he wrote, followed by his three best picks: ‘Rustin’, ‘Leave the World Behind‘, and ‘American Symphony’. Some more noteworthy entries on his list included ‘The Holdovers’, ‘Blackberry‘, ‘Oppenheimer‘, and ‘American Fiction‘ among others.
