‘Baki Hanma’ is a very popular action anime and it is loved by the fans. This particular anime is the final arc in the ‘Baki’ manga and is the conclusion of the other three anime adaptations of the manga. Season 2 of this anime was recently released and fans were quite surprised with the appearance of a certain character. In the first part of season two, Barack Obama, the previous President of the United States, apparently made an appearance.

What Is Baki Hanma Season 2?
As mentioned above, ‘Baki Hanma’ is the final anime adaptation of its manga under the name ‘Baki The Grappler’. This anime has two seasons and the second season will be released in two parts. ‘Baki Hanma’ follows the story of a young boy named Baki Hanma who wishes to become the strongest fighter in the world. His reason for becoming strong, however, is to defeat his father Yuujirou Hanma, who is currently considered the strongest fighter in the world.
The previous adaptations of the anime follow Baki’s journey as he starts training as a boy and becomes strong. ‘Baki Hanma’ season 2 however is the end of it. In the first part of the second season, Baki is shown fighting Pickle, a man discovered preserved within a cave. The second part however focuses on the most anticipated fight in the series, the father-son showdown. The second part will focus on the fight between the two martial artists.
Was Barack Obama Shown In Baki?
In the second season of the series, a man named Barack Ozma is introduced. He is said to represent the former US President, Barack Obama. Ozma is shown visiting Yuji Hanma, Baki’s father and the major antagonist of the series. When he visits him, Ozma mentions that it was his first time going somewhere without security ever since he became President.
Yuji is sitting in a very relaxed manner, which can be interpreted as disrespect. Ozma mentions to Yuji that the United States will not be interfering in Hanma’s actions, no matter what. He said that to preserve his friendship with the martial artist. Whilst his name was not directly taken, it can be assumed that it was Barack Obama. Therefore it can be said that he did make an appearance in the series.
This portrayal of the political figure seems to have divided the internet. Many fans are angry and unhappy with the way he was portrayed and are criticizing the anime for it. They believe that he is a political figure and should not be portrayed in a demeaning manner. On the other hand, many fans find it funny. They especially consider the name Barack Ozma to be funny.
