Dwayne Johnson And Kevin Hart’s Bromance Steals The Show At Epic Netflix Roast

Dwayne Johnson made a surprise appearance during Netflix’s The Roast of Kevin Hart on May 10 at Kia Forum, taking the stage late in the show and catching both the audience and Kevin Hart off guard.

Johnson entered the arena as We Will Rock You by Queen blasted through the venue speakers. Holding a microphone, he opened with a twist on his iconic wrestling catchphrase. “Finally… daddy’s home,” he said.

The crowd erupted as Johnson made his entrance during the Netflix Is A Joke Festival event. He joked that he had been waiting his whole life to appear at Hart’s roast, adding another memorable moment to the longtime friendship between the two stars.

Johnson and Hart first shared the screen in Central Intelligence before reuniting for the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level films. Their on-screen chemistry has since made them one of Hollywood’s most recognizable comedy duos in recent years.

The appearance also served as another public nod to Dwayne Johnson’s “Final Boss” persona, a character WWE fans last saw during the buildup to Elimination Chamber 2025. Johnson has not appeared on wrestling programming since March 1, 2025, when he played a central role in John Cena’s shocking heel turn at the event.

Dwayne Johnson also used part of his segment to roast Draymond Green, joking about the Golden State Warriors forward’s name and the team’s playoff elimination.

He started with, “Draymond, that’s your name, right? That’s my boy. I was thinking about this. Of all the cool Black names you could have, that is the laziest Black name I ever heard because all you did was put a ‘D’ in front of Raymond. And on top of all that, your team got bounced from the playoffs.”

The former 10-time WWE champion added, “So, I’m just saying, because you’re my boy and I love you, maybe it’s time to retire.” The jokes drew laughter from the crowd as Green appeared on stage alongside several celebrity guests and comedians, including Pete Davidson and Jeff Ross.

For the unversed, Green addressed his NBA future last month and said he hopes to remain with Golden State. “I hope I’ve done enough to still be here. Because at the end of the day, if I ain’t done enough, I don’t want to be here,” Green said via The Sporting News.

Golden State selected Green in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft out of Michigan State. He is a four time NBA champion and four-time NBA All Star. During the 2025-26 NBA season, Green averaged 8.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists across 68 games for the Warriors.
