Tom Brady made a surprise appearance during Kevin Hart’s Netflix roast at Kia Forum on Sunday night, using the event to fire back at the jokes Hart aimed at him during Netflix’s 2024 roast special.
Brady walked onstage while Hart was addressing the audience and immediately delivered a cutting opening line that drew a huge reaction from the crowd. He asked, “Have you even left the Forum? Or have you just been here screaming into that mic the last two years, waiting for daddy to come home? Well, unlike your real dad, I actually showed up.”
The former quarterback then presented Hart with a child-sized New York Knicks jersey after the Knicks completed a four-game playoff sweep of Hart’s favorite team, the Philadelphia 76ers, earlier that day. Brady then said, “That’s newborn size. Alright, sit down. Hobbit.”
The jersey exchange quickly became one of the night’s most talked-about moments as the audience inside the Forum erupted. Brady continued the roast by comparing their careers in sports and entertainment.
The NFL legend said, “I won five Super Bowl MVP awards. Kevin, you’re the third most famous person in Jumanji.”

The live Netflix special, hosted by Shane Gillis, also featured appearances from Draymond Green, Pete Davidson, and Sheryl Underwood, among others.
Sunday’s event served as Netflix’s follow-up to Tom Brady’s 2024 roast special, which drew more than two million viewers on premiere night and featured Hart among its most aggressive performers.
How The Netflix Roast Fueled Tom Brady’s Sunday Revenge

During Netflix’s 2024 roast of Tom Brady, Kevin Hart repeatedly targeted the retired quarterback with jokes about his personal life, football career, and relationships. Roastmaster General Jeff Ross later described Hart’s performance as “really mean.”
Hart directed expletive remarks at Brady multiple times during his set and joked about Brady’s divorce from Gisele Bündchen and his relationship with former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick.
Ross later recalled listening backstage and realizing Brady would eventually respond publicly. “There’s no more protecting Tom on this. The swords are out. This is gonna be no-holds-barred.”

Brady later acknowledged that the 2024 roast affected his family and said he would not take part in another roast because of the impact certain jokes had on his children. “I wouldn’t do that again because of the way that it affected actually, the people that I care about the most in the world,” Brady said after the event.
Hart became the first professional comedian to headline one of Netflix’s roast specials after previous editions focused on celebrities from sports and entertainment rather than stand-up comics.
