The sci-fi series ‘Raised By Wolves’ has a total of two seasons. Aaron Guzikowski was responsible for creating the series. Ridley Scott has served as director for the series. It tells the story of two androids who have to raise two human children when the human society is on a verge of the end due to differences in religion. The show first came out in September 2020 and was pretty high in demand. But recently, just two months after it finished airing it’s second season, HBO Max cancelled the show.
‘Raised By Wolves’ Canceled
The depressing news revealed just after the second season came out on HBO Max. This is very sad news for the ‘Raised By Wolves’ fans. Ever since the series came out in the year 2020, it became the top performing original series. But unfortunately, the show was unable to deliver a fixed amount of demand to the streaming network. Ultimately, just after two months of the release of the show’s second season, HBO Max canceled the show.
“While we are not proceeding with a third season of Raised by Wolves, we are beyond grateful to the stellar cast and crew, our creators Aaron Guzikowski, Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, and the entire team at Scott Free Productions, for their beautiful artistry and unique ability to immerse fans into the world of Kepler-22b,” HBO Max said in a statement.
The Merger Of Discovery And Warner Bros. Is Bringing Changes
After the merger between Discovery and Warner Bros, a lot of shows got cancelled. The new CEO David Zaslav has already been cancelling a lot of shows. He shut down CNN+ and the general manager of TNT, TBS, and TruTV, Brett Wetz, also left after his position dissolved.
‘Raised by Wolves‘ cast member Abubakar Salim already mentioned his concerns about the cancellation. On Friday he tweeted “It’s not surprising, especially after the news of the mergers and what is happening at Warner, that a lot of shows are not having their stories finished.” And unfortunately, one of those shows is ‘Raised by Wolves’.”
