HBO’s ‘House of the Dragon‘ initially had the audiences waiting with mixed apprehension because of the botched finale of ‘Game of Thrones.’ However, the show defied all expectations and became a success.
According to Variety, HBO Max content CEO Casey Bloys has confirmed that the second season will premiere sometime in 2024. He says that 2024 is a “good guess” but the series won’t qualify to be nominated for next year’s Emmy.
So one can guess that it will premiere in the summer of 2024 as Emmy’s deadline is May 31st of every year. “My philosophy is a good script is number one priority,” he said. “I am not doing it based on wanting to have one a year, two a year. I want to do it based on the scripts that we’re excited about.”
