Contrary to her song, ‘We are never ever getting back together‘ Taylor Swift might still be speaking to her ex-boyfriends (or not). The ‘Midnights’ singer has not only broken records after records, from Billboards to Spotify, she has also broken quite a few hearts. It might be vice versa too (Broken hearts = An assured treat for fans).
Although, Swift is widely known for dropping hints about her relationship in her songs, she is in fact pretty amicable with several of her exes. It is hard to digest but that is what Swift is! Sometimes, we might as well go “aww” after Taylor and her exes warm embrace or even a name drop now-and-then in any of their interviews. List Of Ex-Boyfriends Taylor Swift Is Still Friends With
1) Harry Styles
One of the most high-profile romances for the ‘Begin Again’ songstress was her brief liaison with fellow pop star Harry Styles. The former One Direction member and Taylor Swift dated from late 2012 to early 2013. There are numerous theories fans believe that their relationship inspired Swift’s tracks, ‘Out of the Woods’ and ‘Style’.
Perhaps because he’s a songwriter himself, the ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ star never had any problems with his ex-girlfriend penning tunes about their time together. “It would be hypocritical for me to say she couldn’t do it because everybody writes songs based on personal experience,” said the UK native. “I can’t say I’d have dated someone less famous to avoid it.”
2) Joe Jonas
Joe Jonas, another one of Swift’s musician exes, split from the Grammy winner in 2008. However, he found himself in her crosshairs again in 2021 when she released ‘Fearless’ (Taylor’s Version) in April of that year. Two previously unreleased tracks, ‘Mr. Perfectly Fine’ and ‘You All Over Me‘, were seemingly about their short-lived relationship.
Like Styles, the DNCE member had only good things to say about his ex-girlfriend and her decision to rerecord her early albums after losing control of her masters. “I thought [it] was really clever,” he told BuzzFeed in June 2021. Jonas’ wife, Sophie Turner, also shared her thoughts on the new tracks after the album’s release. “It’s not NOT a bop,” she wrote via Instagram alongside a screenshot of herself listening to ‘Mr. Perfectly Fine’ when it premiered in April 2021.
3) Taylor Lautner
The ‘Twilight‘ star and Swift dated for three months in 2009 after meeting on the set of the movie ‘Valentine’s Day‘. Shortly after their split, the ‘Back to December‘ songstress described Lautner as “one of my best friends” during an October 2010 interview with Glamour. “He’s wonderful, and we’ll always be close,” she added. “I’m so thankful for that.”
There don’t seem to be any lingering hard feelings between the pair, but the ‘Abduction‘ star also doesn’t seem totally comfortable discussing his past with Swift. When Lea Michele asked the actor whether Swift had written a song about him, Lautner replied, “That’s what she does. She writes songs.” He eventually admitted that ‘Back to December’ is the name of the track believed to be about their relationship.
