Jada Pinkett Smith was mainly in the news this year for the infamous Oscar incident where her husband Will Smith slapped Chris Rock. The comedian had made fun of her alopecia and had called her “G. I Jane“. Will was barred from attending Academy ceremonies and he later issued an apology.
Now, Jada will be publishing a no holds barred memoir which will celebrate “authentic feminine power” and chronicle her life from her “unconventional upbringing” to ”falling in love” with Smith. Let’s find out everything about this new memoir by Jada.
Jada Pinkett Smith To Publish A ‘No Holds Barred’ Memoir
Jada Pinkett Smith has been a part of show business for a long time. So she’s clearly seen a lot and has a lot to talk about. ‘The Red Table Talk’ host made an exciting announcement recently.
According to People Magazine, Jada will be publishing a yet-to-be-titled memoir with Dey Street Books, an imprint of the William MorrowGroup at HarperCollins Publishers. The book will be out in the fall of 2023. As per a press release, the book “chronicles lessons learned in the course of a difficult but riveting journey—a rollercoaster ride from the depths of suicidal depression to the heights of personal rediscovery and the celebration of authentic feminine power.”
It continued, “With no holds barred, Jada reveals her unconventional upbringing in Baltimore — from the child of two addicts to a promising theatre student and a violent interlude as a petty drug-dealer — followed by a parallel rise to stardom alongside her close friend 2Pac, then falling in love with and marrying Will Smith, and a joyous embrace of motherhood.”
The memoir will also examine why she found herself “in crisis at age 40” and “recounts the excruciating choices she was forced to make to redefine her life in every way.” “At the heart of this powerful book are two unexpected love stories, one being Jada’s complicated marriage to Will Smith, the other being the one with herself,” the press release concludes.

Will Smith Reveals If Jada Pinkett Smith Asked Him To Slap Chris Rock
Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at this year’s Oscars was probably one the biggest news of 2022. After months of that event, Will finally revealed if Jada had asked him to slap Chris.
The comedian had made fun of Jada’s alopecia condition which angered Will. In his YouTube apology video, Smith was asked by the YouTube comment section, ‘After Jada rolled her eyes, did she tell you to do something?‘.
Smith’s response was no. He said, “It’s like I made a choice on my own from my own experiences, from my history with Chris. Jada had nothing to do with it.”
