Ke Huy Quan rose to popularity for his portrayal of Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and later received an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and a Screen Actors Guild award for his performance in ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’.
Quan appeared as O.B. in Marvel Studios’ ‘Loki’ season 2. And now, the actor is all set to star in a new action movie from the team behind ‘Deadpool 2’.

Ke Huy Quan Joins The Team Of ‘Deadpool 2’ For A New Project
According to Deadline, the ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ actor has landed a leading role in ‘With Love’. The action film is being produced by the same directing and producing team as ‘Deadpool 2’ and 87North. Also Universal is developing the project.
However, the details about the film’s plot and Quan’s involvement in the project are kept under wraps. The project is being written by Luke Passmore from an original script by Josh Stoddard who is known for writing the martial arts Max series ‘Warrior‘.

Ke Huy Quan Made History In Hollywood
Just last March, the Academy Award winner made history as the Vietnam-born actor to win an Academy Award. And also Quan is one of two actors of Asian descent to win the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Also in 2023, Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
In his Oscar speech, he recounted his Hollywood journey and said, “My journey started on a boat. I spent a year in a refugee camp. And somehow I ended up here on Hollywood’s biggest stage. They say stories like this only happen in the movies. I cannot believe it’s happening to me. This is the American dream.”
‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ was not the actor’s first martial arts and action project. Over 20 years ago, Ke Huy Quan was hired as the assistant fight choreographer and stunt rigger on Marvel’s first blockbuster comic book film ‘X-Men‘ back in 2000.
