Rainn Wilson Has Issues With ‘The Last Of Us’
Rainn Wilson became a global name thanks to his performance as the cunning yet innocent Dwight Schrute on the popular sitcom ‘The Office.’ He recently spoke about another popular show currently on-air, ‘The Last Of Us.’
On Saturday, the actor took to Twitter to slam the show and the “anti-Christian bias in Hollywood.” He talked about the character named David in the show’s eighth episode titled “When We Are in Need.”
I do think there is an anti-Christian bias in Hollywood. As soon as the David character in “The Last of Us”
started reading from the Bible I knew that he was going to be a horrific villain. Could there be a Bible-reading preacher on a show who is actually loving and kind?— RainnWilson (@rainnwilson) March 11, 2023
“I do think there is an anti-Christian bias in Hollywood,” he tweeted. “As soon as the David character in ‘The Last of Us’ started reading from the Bible I knew that he was going to be a horrific villain. Could there be a Bible-reading preacher on a show who is actually loving and kind?”
In the episode, David operates a small congregation in Wyoming. Later, it is revealed that they kill and eat their own members and get at loggerheads with Ellie and Joel.

Creators Say Second Season Will Have More “Infected”
The final episode of the first season of the much-loved series aired on March 12. However, there have been complaints about the lack of zombies or infected throughout the season.
Series creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann have addressed this issue and have assured viewers that the second season is going to have “a lot more infected“. “Ultimately, we generally stressed the power of relationships and trying to find significance within moments of action,” Mazin said.
He continued, “And so there may be less action than some people wanted because we couldn’t necessarily find significance for quite a bit of it, or [there was] concern that it would be repetitive.”
Mazin explained that it’s a show and not a videogame and that’s why “it needs to be a little more focused and purposeful.” A second season has already been commissioned by HBO.
