Rapper and reality television star Ray J briefly choked out internet personality and wrestler Georgio Poullas during a grappling session ahead of his amateur MMA debut this weekend in Las Vegas. The incident took place at the Creators Inc house, where Ray J was training ahead of his upcoming fight against Supa Hot Fire on Adin Ross’ Brand Risk Promotions card at the UFC Apex.
During a livestream, Ray J worked on the rear-naked choke technique under the guidance of veteran MMA and wrestling coach Eric Albarracin. Poullas volunteered to help Ray J drill the submission while cameras were rolling. After Albarracin demonstrated the fundamentals of the choke, Ray J locked in the technique on Poullas as viewers watched live online.
Seconds later, Ray J released the hold, and Poullas immediately collapsed to the ground. The wrestler appeared to lose consciousness briefly before regaining awareness moments later and continuing with the livestream. “That was real tight, he just choked me out, bro,” Poullas said after recovering. When asked if he was serious, Poullas replied: “Yeah, this is legit.”
The clip quickly spread across social media, including an Instagram video shared ahead of Brand Risk Promotions’ upcoming event in Las Vegas.
