Tom Brady added another post-football role to his resume this weekend when he appeared on the runway for Gucci during the brand’s Cruise 2027 fashion show in New York City. The former NFL quarterback walked the runway Saturday night in Times Square wearing a full leather outfit as part of Gucci’s latest collection showcase.

Brady’s appearance surprised many longtime football fans while further highlighting his growing involvement in fashion and lifestyle ventures since retiring from the NFL. The seven-time Super Bowl champion spent more than two decades in professional football with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before stepping away from the game.

Since retirement, Brady has expanded into television broadcasting and business ownership. He currently works as an NFL analyst and also owns a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders. Brady’s runway debut quickly sparked reactions online. Former teammates Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman showed support through their Dudes on Dudes podcast account by posting three goat emojis in honor of their former quarterback.

Some social media users compared Brady’s runway appearance to Ben Stiller in Zoolander, while others referenced Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Terminator because of the leather outfit worn during the show.

Tom Brady has maintained close ties to the apparel and wellness industries in recent years. In 2024, his TB12 wellness company merged with Boston-based athletic apparel brand NOBULL as part of a broader business expansion. At the time of the merger, Brady said the goal was to create “one complete wellness company that at its core, will help people become the best version of themselves.”

“The goal for us is massive growth that will change the game in training and nutrition for the world. There’s no limit on how many people we can impact and that’s what I’m most excited about,” Brady added.

Brady’s former wife, Gisele Bündchen, previously discussed his interest in clothing and style during a 2021 interview with WSJ Magazine. She revealed, “He loves clothes way more than I do. He has great taste and understands and really cares about what people want, what can help them feel good. That’s what fashion is about.”
