    The death of Queen Elizabeth II has shocked millions of people across the globe, including Beckham. He has been vocal about the pain he experienced after her demise. Beckham also attended Queen’s funeral and has written about the monarch, calling her a “caring leader.”

    David Beckham is one of the millions of admirers of Queen Elizabeth II who passed away on September 8. He also attended the Queen’s funeral and has taken to social media to remember her.

    On Monday, the FIFA World Player of the Year recipient took to his Instagram to write about the Queen. “Our Queen is home… Today we said a final farewell to Her Majesty The Queen“, he wrote.

    He continued: “This week the world has mourned the loss of a unique, inspirational & caring leader. People from all walks of life came together in their thousands to show gratitude for our beloved Queen.”

    Alongside the incredible ceremony and tradition we have watched a loving family grieve for a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with dignity and dedication,” Beckham wrote.

    The 47-year-old former athlete concluded his post by saying that the Queen’s “legacy of service and devotion to duty will endure,” and wrote, “long live the King.”

    Beckham Waited In Line For 12 Hours To Mourn Queen’s Death

    The Queen’s coffin was laid in Westminster Hall where people waited in long lines to pay their respect. The line grew out to be more than five miles with a wait time of over 14 hours.

    Beckham was one of those waiting for hours in line. He was also photographed wiping away tears inside Westminster Hall. The former soccer star also bought a bunch of fans doughnuts to keep them energized.

    Beckham previously noted on social media that he was “devastated” by the death of Her Majesty. “I’m truly saddened by the death of Her Majesty, The Queen. What an outpouring of love and respect we saw for the Platinum Jubilee for her life of service,” he wrote.

    He concluded, “How devastated we all feel today shows what she has meant to people in this country and around the world.”
