‘Game of Thrones‘ is easily one of the biggest and most popular television series of modern times. The HBO fantasy series was based on George R. R. Martin’s ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ series of fantasy books. It ran for eight successful seasons between 2011 to 2019.
The success of this series has spawned a spin-off prequel series titled ‘House of the Dragon‘ which premiered last year. Now HBO has ordered another prequel series titled ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight’. So let’s find out more details about this new series.

A Prequel Series Titled ‘A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight’ Is In The Works
On April 12, the Warner Bros. Discovery presentation was held for the investors and the media. According to Variety, a prequel series on ‘Game of Thrones‘ has been greenlit which will be based on George R. R. Martin’s ‘Tales of Dunk and Egg‘ series of novellas.
The novels tell the story of Ser Duncan the Tall who is nicknamed Dunk and a young Aegon V Targaryen. The story take place nearly a century before the events of ‘Game of Thrones.’
Titled ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight‘, the series will have Martin and Ira Parker as writers and executive producers. Martin’s series consists of three novellas that were released in 1998, 2004, and 2010.

‘Game Of Thrones’ Prequel On Aegon’s Conquest Is Also Under Development
Last week, it was reported that HBO is developing a show on Aegon I Targaryen and his conquest of Westeros. The development is in its initial stage and talks about hiring writers and showrunners have been going on.
The studio is planning a feature film and a television series on the character. The story will focus on Aegon and his sister-wives, Visenya and Rhaenys. They had conquered six of the seven kingdoms in Westeros with the help of their dragons.
Aegon, who is also known as Aegon the Conqueror, created the Iron Throne with the swords of all the people he had killed and defeated. He was the first person to sit on it as well.
