Nikocado Avocado’s Frustration With Vegans Led Him To Mukbang Videos

Born on May 19, 1992, Nikocado Avocado grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Avocado launched his YouTube channel in 2014 and documented his vegan lifestyle there. However, later in 2016, he revealed that he did not wish to be a vegan anymore. Sharing his anger, he asked in the clip, “What is with vegans? I’m never ‘vegan enough’ [for them].”

Avocado then started sharing mukbang videos – a live-streamed video where people watch the host eat a huge amount of food. It was first popularized in South Korea in 2010 and mukbang literally translates to “eating” and “broadcast” in Korean. Avacado was one of the first Americans to make such videos with a combination of bizarre behavior and meltdowns as well. Unsurprisingly, he began receiving a large number of views. Avocado is also active on other social media platforms and has been featured on the show, ‘Tosh.0‘, which aired on Comedy Central. He has more than 1 billion subscribers on his YouTube channels.
