A charming and beautiful lady has been crowned Miss America this year. Miss Wisconsin, Grace Stanke has won the Miss America 2023 title. She competed with 50 other contestants before finally winning the title. The competition happened for 3 nights during which the contestants showcased their talents, interview skills, and social impact achievements.
Grace Stanke described her decision to participate as “one of the best decisions I’ve ever made“. Miss America gained the confidence and skills to face the public after being associated with the Miss America Organization at the age of 13. Through those seven years, Stanke has gone a long way. Grace Stanke: Miss America 2023
Stanke was crowned Miss America 2023 at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut on December 15, 2022. As the winner, she was presented with a new sash and a crown, with cheers and applause from her fellow competitors and audience. Stanke is a 20-year-old from Wasau, Wisconsin. She became the 95th winner of the Miss America competition.
Stanke grew up competing in scholarship-based pageants and has won a $50,000 cash scholarship that came with the title this time. At 13, Grace first competed in the Miss Wisconsin Outstanding Teen organization. Later on, she won Miss Wausau’s Outstanding Teen title in 2016. In 2017, she became Miss Wisconsin Outstanding Teen. Stanke was the semifinalist in the Miss Wisconsin competition last year. And this year she won the Miss Badgerland title before winning Miss Wisconsin in June 2022.
Stanke is the daughter of Jenny and Darrin Stanke. She is a senior at the University of Wisconsin and is studying nuclear engineering. She plans to complete her degree after serving a year as the face of the Miss America Organisation.

Talented Violinist And Advocate Of Clean Energy
The new Miss America for the talent session of the competition did a great classical violin performance and surely did impress the judges. Her journey with the violin started at the age of 8 which then finally became her passion. The violin is her companion at most of her beauty pageants. “My violin has allowed me to come up with creative solutions to some really unusual engineering problems,” Stanke said to People.
As a nuclear engineering student, Stanke is an advocate of nuclear energy and environment-friendly policies. She shared her initiative of “Clean Energy, Cleaner Future” at the competition while talking about how she is going to create a social impact. It was the role played by nuclear science in saving her father from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma that turned her interest to nuclear energy. She wants America to turn into zero-carbon energy sources and eliminate misconceptions regarding nuclear power.
