‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is set to be one of Marvel’s biggest multiverse stories yet, and if the latest rumors about the film are true, then Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman may have a surprisingly messy time in the movie.
Deadpool Brings His Chaos To The X-Men Universe
The reported details have Deadpool and Wolverine starting on Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man’s Earth. This confrontation with the older Spider-Man doesn’t seem to be going their way, as Tobey’s Peter Parker defeats both of them. However, Deadpool gets away before the universe comes to an end.

That gives Wade Wilson the perfect opportunity to do what he does best: disappear, make jokes, and somehow turn up somewhere he absolutely shouldn’t be. After escaping Tobey’s Earth, Deadpool reportedly reappears in the X-Men universe, where his interactions with the heroes are expected to provide some much-needed comic relief amid the increasingly serious multiverse conflict.
One particularly ridiculous moment allegedly involves Deadpool joking about Sam Wilson being Captain America. With Wade’s lack of a filter, it’s easy to see what kind of fourth-wall-breaking commentary could’ve come from that encounter.
The leaks also reveal that Deadpool will eventually run into Reed Richards. And, in a scene that is clearly reminiscent of the infamous Cable scene in ‘Deadpool 2’, Wade is reportedly sitting on Reed.
Wolverine And Deadpool Save Their Big Return For Latveria
When Doctor Doom activates the Sentinels, the reported storyline becomes even more interesting. Deadpool is apparently absent during the sequence, claiming that he’s going to get reinforcements. Thereafter, he is seemingly absent from the film for much of the runtime.

He does not return until the final battle in Latveria, which takes place on Earth-828. If accurate, this would make Deadpool’s journey through ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ much less straightforward than simply having him fight alongside the Avengers from beginning to end.
Instead, Wade seems to wander from one universe to the next, gets into trouble, cracks jokes at the wrong times, and finally arrives at the moment of greatest crisis. If any of this is true, though, Reynolds and Jackman’s involvement could provide ‘Doomsday’ with some of its most iconic and outright bizarre moments.
