Shang-Chi made his big screen debut in the critically acclaimed ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings‘ in 2021, introducing moviegoers to the talented martial artist and newest member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While the post-credits scene hinted at more adventures to come for Shang-Chi, Marvel Studios is yet to officially announce a sequel. However, fans received an exciting update from actor Simu Liu himself about the current status of ‘Shang-Chi‘ 2.
Liu has been very vocal about his desire to reprise his role as Shang-Chi and continue the character’s story. In a new interview, he was asked directly about any news regarding a potential sequel. Though remaining cautious not to reveal too much, Liu gave fans plenty to be optimistic about.

“A lot of it is above my pay grade, but it’s definitely happening. So just very excited to kind of work on it and it’s going to be amazing,” the actor said. This confirmation from the lead actor himself has left fans eager to see the hero’s next adventure.
Liu further stated he was “just very excited to kind of work on it and it’s going to be amazing“. Fans can now hope that the official announcements are made soon, confirming the project’s development is moving along as smoothly as Liu describes.
