The fifth episode of ‘Agatha All Along’ brought a major twist to the series with the revelation of Teen’s true identity. Joe Locke, who portrays Teen, was confirmed to be none other than Billy Maximoff, also known as Wiccan in the Marvel comics.
The reveal of Billy’s identity marked a significant moment for the MCU. However, achieving the character’s most vulnerable self on the screen wasn’t an easy job. Joe Locke recently opened up about the same.

“It’s so nice. I feel like I’m breathing. I love it,” he stated. He also admitted to taking melatonin to help him sleep after the episode’s release. “I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep, so I’m just going to drug myself and then wake up to my phone blowing up, which it did,” he added.
According to Locke, showrunner Jac Schaeffer also revealed that the reveal of Billy’s identity was intended to be a surprise. She explained that the goal was to keep the audience guessing and to subvert expectations. Moreover, Billy’s true identity as Wiccan changes the dynamic of the group.
He is now the most powerful person on the Witches’ Road, which could have significant consequences for the future of the series. To add more to the intrigue, Locke explained that the revelation was just the beginning as “the show starts getting real” now.

“We worked to find similarities in both Billy and Wanda, the way they use their magic,” Locke says,” Locke stated. However, despite their similarities, they also wanted to ensure that Billy had his own unique style and finesse. “We wanted to find similarities with that, but also his own finesse,” he added.
