In the latest episode of ‘Agatha All Along’, Marvel fans were left with a jaw-dropping revelation that has been building up since forever. Joe Locke’s mysterious character, previously known only as “The Teen,” has finally had his identity unveiled.
Teen was revealed to be Wiccan, aka Billy Maximoff. While Marvel Studios has always been coy about confirming certain theories, everything from the character seals his identity as Billy.
The Mystery Of Billy Maximoff’s Return And Wanda’s Fate
After a tense confrontation in which Agatha attempts to manipulate him, the Teen finally taps into his powers. As he stood up to Agatha for the first time, a shimmering silver crown materialized above his head. This visual is heavily associated with Wiccan in the comics.

However, all this raises a bigger question: if Billy is back, where does that leave his twin brother Tommy, and more importantly, his mother Wanda? So, one of the biggest questions hanging over the reveal is how Billy even exists after the events of ‘WandaVision’.
The show ended with Wanda breaking the magical hex that created her perfect sitcom reality, and with it, her two sons, Billy and Tommy, seemed to vanish into thin air. While ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ hinted at the twins’ existence in other universes, there was no confirmation of their survival in the main MCU.
Moreover, in the comics, Billy’s journey was similarly tragic. Originally created using Wanda’s magic, he was absorbed by the demonic entity Mephisto and seemingly lost forever. However, years later, he was reborn as a separate person, possessing the same soul and magical prowess.
Is Wanda Maximoff Really Gone?
The bigger implication of Billy’s return is what it means for his mother, Wanda Maximoff. The last time we saw her, she was presumed dead. After destroying the Darkhold castle, she seemingly sacrifices herself in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’.

However, the film left her fate ambiguous, and Marvel has a long history of bringing back key characters when the story calls for it. Moreover, Wanda’s death has always felt temporary, especially with the upcoming ‘VisionQuest’ series. If Billy is back in play, it would make sense for Marvel to find a way to bring Wanda back as well.
More importantly, Billy’s presence in ‘Agatha All Along’ might foreshadow the eventual formation of the Young Avengers. In the end, Billy’s emergence raises more questions than answers. Additionally, ‘Agatha All Along’ has set the stage for a magical turn of the MCU.
