Anthony Mackie has issued a playful yet hilarious statement about his “date”, Tom Holland. While promoting his upcoming film, ‘Captain America: Brave New World’, Mackie jokingly suggested that Holland should be his plus-one for the premiere.
This comes years after Tom Holland hilariously roasted Anthony Mackie for not having a standalone movie. But finally with ‘Captain America: Brave New World’, Mackie will headline his own MCU movie. Tom and Mackie are known to have playful banter with each other. It’s safe to say that Mackie had the final laugh.

Anthony Mackie Talks About Being Excited To Watch ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ With Tom Holland
While talking to IGN, Mackie was asked about what he was the most excited about with the upcoming film. To this question, his answer was nothing short of a hilarious jab at Tom Holland. He simply stated, “I am excited for Tom Holland to see my movie.”
Mackie further added, “Zendaya, whatever you need to do, come with your friend or something, but [Tom’s] coming with me to the movie.”
Anthony, after finally getting his film, is ready to get back at the Spider-Man actor. He claimed that he would make Tom sit next to him at the premier and ask for his honest feedback. In addition to that, he would stream the whole ordeal on Instagram.

Anthony Mackie Previously Made Fun Of Tom Holland’s Height
Mackie and Holland have shared the screen in several Marvel films, including ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’. Moreover, their on-screen chemistry has translated into a genuine friendship off-screen, often leading to playful teasing and banter.
As mentioned earlier, Holland had previously trolled Mackie for not having a movie to promote. In response to that “violation”, Mackie playfully fired back with a joke about him being short. However, the feud didn’t end there. 6 years after Tom’s jab, Mackie now has a movie of his own and a lot of jokes.
While talking to ScreenRant at the San Diego Comic-Con Anthony did not hold back. “He said I didn’t have a movie. I said, ‘Well you’re not 5’11”.’ I got a movie, but he ain’t gonna be 5’11”! Yes Tom Holland, f*ck you!” He hilariously said.
