Daniel Kaluuya Will Not Return For ‘Black Panther 2’. Here’s Why

Daniel Kaluuya will not be seen in the ‘Black Panther‘ sequel titled ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’. The announcement will surely disappoint fans. Kaluuya gained much recognition for portraying the role of W’Kabi in the first film.

Reports said that Kaluuya is busy with Jordan Peele’s thriller movie ‘Nope’, which is why he can’t be a part of the ‘Black Panther‘ sequel. The dates for both films are clashing and the actor had to back out from the upcoming Marvel movie. However, Danai Gurira is expected to return for the sequel as Okoye.

The shoot for the sequel has already been postponed quite a few times due to various reasons. Thus, it can’t be delayed more as per reports.

The unfortunate death of star Chadwick Boseman in August 2020 due to colon cancer halted the shoot. Then the world was hit with the COVID-19 pandemic and the cast and crew of the film could not return to set. The shoot was stopped when simultaneously seven stars tested positive for the coronavirus.

Later, in August 2021, the movie’s star Letitia Wright suffered an injury while shooting a stunt scene in Boston. Thus the shoot was again stopped in late November with as many scenes as possible without her. Meantime, she returned home for recovery in London. Finally, she resumed filming in January this year at the Atlanta set after fulfilling all norms.
