Finally, the Hollywood projects can resume their production as the WGA has now come to an end. Sadly for ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ it is the creative problem that has caused the project to hit a pause. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios “fired the main writers, Chris Ord and Matt Croman, as well as the directors for the rest of Daredevil: Born Again season 1”.

As Marvel executives including Kevin Feige were not satisfied with the footage, they said, “The show wasn’t working”. The show is now looking for a new creative team while the Marvel Studio plans to keep scenes and episodes, though other serialized elements will be injected.

The report also revealed the specific issues that Marvel had with the direction of the show. According to the report, “Corman and Ord crafted a legal procedural that did not resemble the Netflix version, known for its action and violence”. The rebooted series followed the steps of the legal drama losing out on its originality.

Adding fuel to the fire, Matt Murdock did not put on his Daredevil mask until four episodes into ‘Daredevil: Born Again’. Although the new changes that are to be implemented are still kept under wraps. However, the recent synopsis reads, “Daredevil in which longtime rivals Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) try to leave behind their darker alter-egos to serve the people of New York only to have their pasts catch up to them.”
