If these reported matchups for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ are accurate, Marvel may be preparing one of its most chaotic superhero movies yet. The movie already reunites the Avengers, mutants, Fantastic Four characters, and some of the biggest Marvel legacy heroes.
If they’re pitted against one another, the multiverse might feel truly unpredictable.
Heroes, Mutants And Legacy Characters Collide
One of the most intriguing is the Spider-Man vs. Wolverine matchup with Tobey Maguire’s Peter. There’s a lot of history that Maguire has with fans, and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, too, so seeing Maguire take a few hits from Peter Parker would be an absolute multiverse nightmare.

It’s also noteworthy that the Shang-Chi vs. Gambit fight was reported. This could be one of the more interesting clashes as both fighters will be relying on their unique fighting styles. Meanwhile, Nightcrawler vs. Namor might be more of a visual battle, and Yelena vs. Mystique would be a battle of deception and adaptability.
The ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Battles That Could Break The Internet
The matchups involving the Avengers and Fantastic Four may be even bigger. The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about Steve Rogers vs Cyclops is leadership. Steve is the ultimate battlefield strategist, and Scott Summers is one of the strongest commanders of the X-Men.

Sentry’s overwhelming power against Magneto’s ability to manipulate metal creates a matchup where almost anything could happen. Even if some of these fights are part of ‘Doomsday’, Marvel just might have a way to make the multiverse unpredictable as it sounds.
