While fans are awaiting the release of the reboot following a mixed response to the previous films, they are also eager to know who has been cast in the lead roles. But the reports about Emma Stone’s casting are now on top of the headlines. But. it won’t happen now.

Emma Stone Was Reportedly The First Choice For Sue Storm Character
Sue Storm is one of the important characters of ‘Fantastic Four’ and according to reports, Emma Stone was being considered for the role. The news was reported by reporter Jeff Sneider while he appeared on ‘The Hot Mic’ podcast.
According to Sneider, he heard the news from Deadline reporter Justin Kroll on how Marvel was planning to bring Emma Stone for the character of Sue Storm. Sneider mentioned that the team went to Emma and in 72 hours, she was bearing resemblance to Sue Storm.
Sneider also stated that Stone was almost finalized to play the role but she asked for a salary of $20 million. Marvel refused to pay the same since they would fall short to pay the rest of the cast members. While Emma Stone has not responded to the reports until now, fans have praised her decision on social media.

‘Fantastic Four’: Release Date, Cast, And Other Details
Following the acquisition of the 21st Century Fox by Disney in 2019, Disney CEO Bob Iger said that they were planning to include Fantastic Four in the MCU. The film was confirmed to be in development the same year.
Jon Watts was supposed to be in the director’s chair but he stepped down, saying that he wants to take a break from superhero films. Matt Shakman was reportedly being considered to direct the film and the news was confirmed during the Disney event D23 in 2022.
Josh Friedman has been brought in to pen the screenplay and production is scheduled to start from January 2024. The producers have locked the release date of February 14, 2025.
