Marvel Cinematic Universe has been collecting some of the finest stars from the industry like Infinity Stones. The MCU family has been growing ever since Robert Downey Jr.‘s ‘Iron Man‘ paved the way for one of the most successful franchises. It is also a well-known fact that aside from MCU, there were tons of Marvel live-action movies featuring big names. However, they are technically not part of the MCU family. One such actor is Kevin Bacon.
Kevin played the role of Sebastian Shaw in 2011 ‘X-Men: First Class’. He did impressive work as the main antagonist. But since X-men IP was under 20th Century Fox and Marvel had nothing to do with it, it was not the part of MCU.
Kevin Bacon Wants To Be A Part Of The MCU
The Golden Globe award winner, Kevin Bacon, recently in an interview with Inverse revealed that he wants to join the MCU after the franchise dipping toe in the multiverse. Kevin Bacon said, “I was in one side of the Marvel Universe. Do I still have an opportunity to get into the other side? It’s a multiverse, right? I love that stuff.”
Kevin Bacon has “technically” been in the MCU as himself in ‘The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special’. However, he has never played any character in the MCU. He is not the only Marvel old-timer to not be the part of MCU.
With mutants finally coming into the MCU, fans are seeing some familiar faces debuting in the franchise. The man who has been playing Wolverine for more than 20 years, Hugh Jackman, will join the MCU with the upcoming ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ along with Ryan Reynolds.
Patrick Stewart, Professor X from the X-Men movie franchise, also made a cameo appearance in the ‘Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness’ and reprised his role. He was also the mutant to appear in the MCU.

Will ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’ Help Bring Back Lost Glory Of The MCU?
It is no secret that the new MCU projects have been underwhelming and received criticism from the fans. Be it ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’ or the new TV show ‘Echo’, fans are giving up on the MCU.
Some claim it to be superhero fatigue, however, it is also true that the quality of the content is being sacrificed for the quantity. In this rough time, the MCU finally bringing their popular characters such as Deadpool, Wolverine and other mutants, can pull some old fans to the screen.
Fans are already very excited to see how things will unfold in ‘Deadpool And Wolverine‘ and how will it make way for other mutants such as Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, Magneto etc. It is kind of the last chance to knock the ball out of the park and reign supreme as the ultimate franchise
