He sustained nearly 30 broken bones in an attempt to save his nephew from a toppling Pistenbully. However, after realizing the vehicle was headed towards his nephew, the actor was fear-struck and didn’t wait one moment in immediately attempting to reclimb into the vehicle so he could possibly maneuver the vehicle out of his nephew’s way. He had to get onto the tracks to do that, however he was pulled under the left side track and was crushed by the Pistenbully.
