But sadly the actor’s Marvel career ended just after the massive hit of ‘Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania’. Majors is rumored to be replaced by the ‘Star Wars‘ actor in the upcoming Marvel projects.
Kang the Conqueror is a significant character in the current MCU timeline, hence it would play a massive role in future films as well. But due to recent allegations against Jonathan Majors, his career at Marvel seems in jeopardy. Why Is Jonathan Majors Getting Replaced At Marvel?
Jonathan Majors made his MCU debut as He Who Remains in season one of ‘Loki’ and later appeared as Kang the Conqueror in the 2023 film ‘Antman and the Wasp: Quantaumania’. Majors established himself as a talented and spectacular actor that Marvel envisioned him to play the role of Kang in the 2025 film ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’ and 2026’s ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’. He would also appear as Victor Timely in season two of ‘Loki’. Unfortunately due to assault charges and subsequent arrest, MCU is keen on replacing Majors.
On March 26, the ‘Creed III’ star was arrested on the charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment. Although his lawyer claims that Jonathan Majors is innocent and dismissed these allegations revealing it was from someone who the star knew personally. But sadly his PR problem is going to increase when Majors appears in court on May 8 for domestic violence. From being Hollywood’s most promising actor to the most violent actor, his career in the industry took a massive plunge. Now amidst these allegations, MCU is looking for a new Kang and mostly settling with the ‘Star Wars’ actor John Boyega.

What’s Happening With John Boyega And Disney?
John Boyega rose to popularity after the commercial success of the alien horror-comedy ‘Attack the Block’, ‘Half of A Yellow Sun’, and ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’. Boyega was in a race with Oshea Jackson Jr and Damson Idris, but only Boyega has been interested to take up the role because of diversity. He believes that the black character is excessively sidelined by Disney and Lucasfilm, which showcased their lack of care for diversity. Boyega also believed that Disney not only did ignore his character but at the time was held hostile.
Although John Boyega replacing Jonathan Majors is just rumors for now, if it were to happen, then Boyega is the perfect candidate to play Kang. Especially with his take on diversity and MCU’s commitment, fans are speculating that it will take the prospect of Kang in a whole new direction.
