“It Made Me Tear Up”: Fan-Favorite Film Critic Hideo Kojima Shares his Review Of ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’

‘Deadpool And Wolverine’ has hit the screens and it’s amply clear that it is definitely worth all the hype that has been building up around it. It’s just been a day since the film released and the internet is flooded with reviews from critics as well as fans across the globe. The groundbreaking film has stunned not just the laymen but also experts who have been well-acquainted with the world of superheroes.

Hideo Kojima, the mastermind behind the games like Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding, also gave a big thumbs up to the movie, as he shared his heartfelt review on social media. He went so far as to call the movie a turning point for the superhero world. Known for his deep understanding and knowledge of films, here’s what he said about the Marvel movie.

Hideo Kojima is one among the many social media users who held no bars while expressing their love for the recently released ‘Deadpool and Wolverine‘. In his recent post on X, he called the film the “turning point” for the superhero genre.

It goes far beyond the “fourth wall” between real and fictional, between the creators and the fans, but also past the walls of not only the title and studio, but all hero movies and parodies outside of the MCU,” Kojima wrote in his tweet.

As a “Hero-verse” in the age of the “fifth wall,” this is Deadpool’s greatest “fourth wall” and will certainly be a turning point. We are also reunited with Yukio, played by Shioli Kutsuna. Seeing a muscular Hugh Jackman brought back many memories of the past quarter of a century, and it made me tear up. Even now, he is still a hero,” the gaming world genius wrote, highlighting his admiration for Hugh Jackman’s character character Wolverine.

Apart from his gaming skills, Hideo Kojima is also garnering attention for his reviews of different films. He has previously reviewed films like ‘Madame Web’, ‘The Marvels’, ‘Indiana Jones 5’, ‘Super Mario Bros’, ‘Jumanji 2’ and more.

The Tokyo native’s one-word sentence reviews have made him a popular film critic. His love for movies is perhaps what makes him a credible person for giving reviews. It goes without saying that if he posts “just watched” on his social media, he is simply impressed by the film. But if there is a detailed paragraph about the movie, he surely enjoyed every bit of it.

His influence is growing among fans though it’s not clear whether or not he would consider turning into a full-time critic.
