For years, fans have been hoping to see Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man face Tom Hardy‘s Venom on the big screen. That battle was considered a long shot after ‘Venom: The Last Dance‘ concluded Eddie Brock’s story.
However, now, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and ‘Spider-Man‘ producer Amy Pascal have given fans newfound hope.
Tom Holland’s Spider-Man May Still Be Headed For A Venom Showdown
When asked if the crossover was still possible, Pascal said, “It would be great,” and Feige just said, “Always have hope“. It wasn’t confirmation, but it was enough to let fans know that Marvel hasn’t given up on the concept.

The main reason the crossover still seems feasible is because of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s conclusion. Although Eddie Brock was sent back to his own universe, a tiny piece of the Venom symbiote remained behind in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
At the time, many assumed it was planting the seeds for Spider-Man’s famous black suit, but it could ultimately serve a much larger purpose. That’s one of the MCU’s biggest unanswered storylines, and it’s hard to believe that Marvel didn’t have plans for it.
The Multiverse Gives Marvel Endless Possibilities To Introduce The Symbiote
While Eddie Brock may no longer have a means of his own to traverse the multiverse, the MCU’s Multiverse Saga offers an abundance of possibilities. If ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ are going to involve heroes and villains from various realities, it wouldn’t take much to get Hardy’s Venom back.

The crossover would also bring something that the audience has been waiting years for. Although one of Spider-Man’s biggest comic-book rivals, Venom has never been cast in a modern live-action movie. If Holland’s Peter Parker met with Hardy’s unpredictable anti-hero, it would be one of the biggest moments in MCU history.
There’s been no official word, and Venom isn’t in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’. But Feige’s upbeat answer and Pascal’s enthusiasm indicate that the concept is not lost. So long as the symbiote is still active in the MCU and the multiverse is still a major factor, then the potential for Spider-Man and Venom finally meeting up is very real.
