Marvel’s first ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ trailer had a ton of big reveals, but one of the most interesting moments belongs to Tom Hiddleston’s Loki. ‘Loki’ Season 2 concluded with him as the God of Stories, and fans were hoping to see him return in his new powerful form.
Instead, the trailer reveals Loki in his TVA costume, raising new questions about his part in the MCU’s next crossover. This little detail may be a sign that Marvel has a much bigger plan for the beloved character.
Loki’s Unexpected ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Appearance Could Change Everything

Towards the end of ‘Loki’ Season 2, the God of Mischief gave up his freedom to preserve the multiverse, and now finds himself in the middle of the many timelines. It seemed to be the ideal conclusion to one of Marvel’s best character arcs.

So it’s surprising to see Loki in TVA attire. The trailer implies that he is once again working with the Time Variance Authority rather than being alone on his throne in another universe. It’s unclear if this is intentional or a significant clue in the story, but Marvel has a history of editing out key details in trailer scenes.
Even so, Loki’s presence in what appears to be a familiar location has fueled speculation that his mission extends beyond simply protecting the timelines.
A Long-Standing MCU Theory Suddenly Feels More Plausible

One theory among the many that has emerged is that Loki may be exploring the alternate timeline that was established when Steve Rogers decided to stay in the past with Peggy Carter following ‘Endgame’. Assuming that is the case, the trailer might also finally shed light on how Steve’s choice played out in the multiverse without the TVA intervening.

It would also bring two of the MCU’s most popular heroes together in an emotional connection. Steve Rogers and Thor have both returned in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, making it more likely than ever that Loki will meet them.
After years of sacrifice, loss, and alternate timelines, a reunion between the Asgardian brothers would easily rank among the franchise’s most anticipated moments. Marvel is known for keeping their biggest secrets until they are released, so fans shouldn’t make too many conclusions from one trailer.
However, Loki’s sudden appearance is too calculated to be a coincidence. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ isn’t just another Avengers adventure; it’s the next big chapter in Loki’s incredible MCU journey that connects the TVA, Steve Rogers, and the fate of the multiverse.
