The first Mary Jane of the Spider-Man verse, Kirsten Dunst has been opening up about her experience with the franchise decades after her trilogy’s release. Dunst was part of the first ‘Spider-Man’ alongside Tobey Maguire.
Despite being a part of one of the most famous superhero movies, Kirsten revealed that she has no interest in the MCU. In an interview with Variety, Dunst opened up about not watching any other Marvel movies.
“It’s just not my thing. But I did see Paw Patrol,” she claimed and added that other than the Sam Raimi’s ‘Spider-Man’ trilogy which she was a part of, she doesn’t know Marvel stories. Dunst hilariously added that despite not watching Marvel movies she did watch ‘Paw Patrol’.
The comment has divided Marvel fans as some were not happy about Dunst comparing Marvel films to ‘Paw Patrol’.

Kirsten Dunst had recently also talked about wanting to do a Marvel movie again if the director was Sam Raimi. Additionally, she revealed the reasoning behind her being a part of ‘Spider-Man’ in the early 2000s. She expressed that the love Sam had for the story influenced her to be a part of it.
She further added that the innocence of the film also helped her to make the decision. “It was so innocent—the reason I wanted to be in that film. The story lived within Sam in such a deep way that I needed to be a part of that feeling, I guess,” Dunst said.
