2023 has not been a profitable year for Marvel, especially after the disastrous box-office performance of ‘The Marvels’. Neglecting the fact that the superhero fatigue has gotten to the fans, the Marvel Cinematic Universe keeps changing at an executive level.

Michael Waldron Reeled In To Pen ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’
After the exit of the director Destin Daniel Cretton, Marvel turned towards a friend from the past. However, Cretton will still be a part of the TV show ‘Wonder Man’ as well as the upcoming sequel of ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’.
Confirmed by Deadline as well as Hollywood Reporter, that Michael Waldron will helm ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’. Will Jonathan Majors Return To Marvel Cinematic Universe?
Amidst the legal allegations against Jonathan Majors, his return to Marvel seemed almost impossible. Since Marvel Studios announced that Michael Waldron will be the new screenwriter for the upcoming Avengers films including ‘The Kang Dynasty‘ and ‘Secret Wars’, it is clear that Kang the Conqueror will still be a valid and important character in the MCU.
However, this recent decision by Marvel suggests that Kang’s character arc is still in their best interest along with presenting a fresh perspective on the upcoming storyline. According to an Industry Insider, Daniel Richtman said, “Another proof they’re not dropping Kang”. Maybe Marvel is saving Majors’ dooming career or the star might tarnish the MCU because of the ongoing lawsuits filed against him.
