Up until, Phase Four of Marvel, Thanos was the villain that posed a threat to the universe. The snap erased almost half of the universe and in ‘Avengers: Endgame’, the Mad Titan was put down for good at the cost of the lives of Tony Stark and Natasha Romanoff.
As the multiverse was introduced in Phase Five, the fans were introduced to Kang the Conqueror, who seems to control the timelines. But the recent episode of ‘Loki’ might have revealed a new villain.

Who Is General Dox?
Introduced in season two episode two of ‘Loki’, General Dox will be the major antagonist of the series, a general of the Time Variance Authority. General Dox delivers her plan to fix the multiverse after the mess that Sylvie created by killing He Who Remains in the season one finale of ‘Loki’. She led a rogue faction of TVA hunters on a mission to destroy every branch destabilizing the Sacred Timeline.
While the Mad Titan wiped out half of the universe, Dox killed all the life in multiple universes, making her the most lethal MCU villain till now. Her deleted multiple timelines make her have one of the highest kill counts in the MCU. Maybe second to Kang the Conqueror and his multiple variants who have been in the timeline for a longer time.

Is Time Variance Authority More Evil Than Thanos?
Thanos and the TVA although share the same mission, their approach can be morally questioned. Thanos’ plan in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ was to regain universal balance, making the difficult choice to wipe out half of existence so the other half could flourish.
Whereas in ‘Loki’ season one, it is revealed that He Who Remains made many difficult decisions when compared to Thanos to avoid an even worse future. He Who Remains unleashed the Multiversal War that he won against his multiple variants.
Every branch of TVA decided to go rogue in order to follow the approved timeline He Who Remains decided was the Sacred one. Every imperfect variant or an outsider like every different variant of Loki including Sylvie was labeled unacceptable as they did not fit in the He Who Remains’ agenda of self-preservation.
