‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ might be providing fans with a much better sense of direction when it comes to Hulk‘s future in the MCU. And if these tidbits are related, Bruce Banner’s destiny might be far more than just another superhero team-up.
The Savage Hulk’s Return May Not Be Random

Previously, leaked ‘Secret Wars’ concept art showed Hulk, Skaar, and She-Hulk surrounded by other Hulks on a mysterious planet. It was easy to look at the image and think that it was either unused concept art or an abandoned idea. But ‘Endgame Encore’ just may have thrown in another piece of the puzzle.

The other big idea is from ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, where they brought back the Savage Hulk. The interesting thing about that appearance is the fact that it is very limited. Bruce could have been a big character in the movie. But instead, his presence seems to be for a more specific purpose: Professor Hulk is gone, and the Savage Hulk has returned.
That feels deliberate. The difference was important because Professor Hulk was the last time that Bruce’s two sides were brought together. Savage Hulk, on the other hand, is the Hulk that is known for his raw power, anger, and physical strength. Resurrecting that version could be the prelude to something much bigger. And then ‘Endgame Encore’ adds another strange detail.
Doom Isn’t Just Looking For Bruce

According to the leaked material, Hulk is living deep underground, roughly two to three miles beneath the Earth’s surface, when Doctor Doom arrives. Doom says that he has come to fight Hulk. He says that he wants to “collect” him. That one word makes the scene quite interesting.

If Hulk were just another Avenger for Doom to take down, there would be no point in hiding him so deep in the ground or making it seem like a goal to capture him. Rather, it implies that Doom might require Hulk for something.
This is where the ‘Secret Wars’ concept art comes back into play. If Hulk, Skaar, and She-Hulk are truly on the path to a world with multiple variants of the character, then Hulk’s absence in ‘Doomsday’ might not be the end of Hulk’s story. It might be just the beginning.
Perhaps Hulk isn’t being kidnapped by Doom because he wants another enemy eliminated. Maybe he wants the Savage Hulk for his Battleworld. After years of Bruce Banner being shoved to the side, it would be one hell of a comeback for Hulk to have a weird, dangerous multiversal purpose from Marvel.
