Marvel may have quietly slipped a major ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ fight into its promotional footage, and it is the kind of detail that is easy to miss if you only watch the trailer once.

The sequence shows Doctor Doom being sent crashing through glass, flying backward before landing dramatically. At first glance, it looks like a classic superhero entrance. However, looking closely at the frames reveals something much more interesting.

As the glass shatters, Doom’s body appears to be facing back toward the structure he has just been thrown from. His armor also appears to shift during the impact, suggesting that this isn’t simply Doom making a stylish entrance. Then comes the landing.

A portion of the chest clasp or medallion on Doom’s armor appears to be missing on one side, potentially suggesting that he suffered significant damage during whatever happened beforehand. That raises a much bigger question. Who hit Doctor Doom?

If Marvel intentionally constructed the sequence this way, someone powerful enough to send Doctor Doom through a structure must be responsible. One possibility is Steve Rogers. If the rumors surrounding ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ are accurate, Steve could be wielding Mjolnir again.

Seeing Captain America land a massive blow on Doom would certainly explain the sheer force behind the impact. However, we also saw Doom using only two fingers to stop Thor’s wrath. So, it might be unlikely.

It might actually be the God of Thunder himself who hit Doom after what we saw in the trailer. There is also the possibility that Marvel is deliberately withholding the attacker to create speculation. And honestly, that’s what makes these tiny details so entertaining.

A shot that initially looks like nothing more than Doom showing off could actually be the aftermath of one of the movie’s biggest battles. Marvel loves hiding important story information in plain sight. So until ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ reveals who actually sent Doom flying, fans can only wait.
