Marvel announced its most awaited cast for ‘Fantastic Four‘, while fans are happy with the casting, there are few of the major roles yet to be filled. Marvel’s first family stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing.
While the main characters have found their faces, many roles are yet to be filled. With the speculation of Doctor Doom making his debut, there are rumors of Ricky Gervais joining the franchise.

Ricky Gervais Wants To Be A Part Of Marvel’s ‘Fantastic Four’
Recently, the ‘Fantastic Four‘ announced that they are looking for a comedian to be the voice of H.E.R.B.I.E. Every comic reader is well aware of the importance of H.E.R.B.I.E., the beloved robot from the ‘Fantastic Four’ comics, initially created to replace Human Torch. But in this live-action, the H.E.R.B.I.E. will finally make its debut.
Ricky Gervais immediately replied to the tweet saying, “Can I swear?”. The comedian hinted at his willingness to join the franchise. And if this happens to be true, ‘Fantastic Four’ will mark Gervais’ debut in the franchise, also making it one of the biggest projects of the comedian’s career. However as excited as the actor seemed to be to join the project, the fans did not reciprocate the same feelings.

Fans Are Not In Favour Of Ricky Gervais Voicing H.E.R.B.I.E.
Due to the comment, fans criticized Ricky Gervais for volunteering himself to play Fantastic Four’s beloved android, H.E.R.B.I.E. While fans poured in their choice of comedian to voice the robot, others simply opposed Ricky Gervais’ involvement.

While the studios are yet to make an official announcement, there are rumors about Anya Taylor-Joy joining the crew as Silver Surfer and Henry Cavill as Doctor Doom. ‘Fantastic Four‘ will be released on July 25, 2025.
