Marvel’s ‘VisionQuest’ could be setting up a major connection between Ultron, the original Human Torch, and White Vision. The new theory suggests that Ultron could transfer his consciousness into Jim Hammond’s body at the end of the series, giving the villain a new body and introducing a fascinating piece of Marvel Comics history into the MCU.

Another theory is that Ultron might use the power of the Human Torch, Jim Hammond, Jocasta, and Wiccan to merge his consciousness with Jim Hammond. This may be why Ultron plans to capture Vision instead of destroy him.

The body of White Vision is constructed with cutting-edge technology and the memories of the original Vision. But he’s still on a quest to discover who he is and what it means to be what he is. To control Vision’s body, Ultron will have to play on the android’s special ability to tap into human emotions, memories, and artificial intelligence.

Jocasta may be the key to that, as she’s an AI made by Ultron in the comics. As Marvel’s original Human Torch, he represents a much older chapter of the company’s superhero history, and his connection to Vision could be more than a simple Easter egg.

Jim Hammond was the first Human Torch in Marvel Comics, an android developed by scientist Phineas Horton, who appeared in 1939. Many years later, Ultron-5 used the body of the original Human Torch to create Vision as a weapon against the Avengers.

In Ultron’s mind, Vision was to be his revenge against his creator, Hank Pym, and the Avengers. Eventually, however, Vision went against his purpose and became one of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. That history provides an interesting opportunity for ‘VisionQuest’.

If the MCU decides to have Jim Hammond and Ultron meet via consciousness transfer, it could flip the script on the two characters and also revisit Vision’s complex backstory. Their pairing would give Marvel a chance to bring its android mythology full circle, with potentially dangerous consequences for White Vision.
