While Marvel Studios has demonstrated that the MCU’s popularity can be translated into a series format on Disney+, the company has also demonstrated that it has no intention of doing so again. To date, each Disney+ series has been vastly distinct from the others in terms of idea, aesthetic, and tone, while yet adding to the bigger MCU story; and ‘Moon Knight’ appears to be no exception.
The series starring Oscar Isaac of Dune and Lucasfilm fame is an action-adventure series that follows Marc Spector, a vigilante dealing with Dissociative Identity Disorder, against a backdrop of action and self-exploration. Now that filming for the 2022 series has wrapped, Oscar Isaac is speaking out about his experience.

Why ‘Moon Knight’ Filming Was Challenging
Oscar Isaac acknowledged to Variety that his character in Moon Knight was the most demanding schedule of his career. But then he couldn’t wait to go on set and work. According to Oscar Isaac, he has always informed Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige that he will come in with huge ideas. And also it is fine for Oscar Isaac if the president doesn’t like them.
Further, Kevin Feige was apparently on board with Isaac’s concept. This is especially done given the actor was not only playing the complicated role of Marc Spector. But Oscar Issac also works as one of the show’s executive producers, implying a two-fold engagement.

Oscar Isaac Enjoyed His Freedom In The Making Of ‘Moon Knight’
The Moon Knight actor, Oscar Isaac went on to discuss Marvel’s and Feige’s responses. Aside from the freedom Isaac had throughout the filming, it seems like he had been under a lot of pressure during the making of the series as well.
“AND IMMEDIATELY, WE SAW IT ALL. I FOUND SO MUCH ROOM TO DO THINGS THAT I’VE NEVER DONE BEFORE AND HAD BEEN CURIOUS ABOUT AND WANTING TO DO.”
Oscar Isaac
Following the mixed reception to The Rise of Skywalker, Oscar Isaac seemed hesitant to reprise his part in the “galaxy far far away”. He desired to collaborate with those that inspired him. And we know that he has somewhere achieved his goal. It’s plausible, based on what he’s said about Moon Knight, that he discovered exactly that at Marvel Studios. Moon Knight will debut on Disney+ in 2022.
