A new ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ rumor has ignited a lot of discussion among Marvel fans, as it appears that all three versions of Spider-Man may be on opposing sides of the multiversal conflict.
The newest inside scoop claims that Tobey Maguire‘s, Andrew Garfield‘s, and Tom Holland‘s Spideys will be at odds in the much-anticipated crossover movie.
Why Would The Spider-Men Fight?

The most puzzling question isn’t if the fight will occur, it’s why. There must be a strong emotional connection that makes Peter Parker decide to go against his multiversal counterparts, many fans think. One theory is that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man could be the next to be influenced by the Venom symbiote.

If the alien suit takes over Peter, he could lose control and begin to attack anyone who gets in his way. If that’s the case, then Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men might have no other option but to take him down, resulting in a heartfelt confrontation between three different Spider-Men.
A Battle That Could Test Every Spider-Man

If the rumour is true, the battle would be a lot more than a punch-up or web-slinging affair. By the end of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, the three heroes were battling side by side. It would have emotional resonance to see those same heroes in conflict.

Marvel has often used hero-versus-hero battles to explore deeper themes rather than simple action, and ‘Secret Wars’ could continue that tradition on an even bigger scale. There’s no reason to believe that a clash won’t occur, as it’s very much possible for Tom’s Peter to be corrupted by the symbiote, manipulated by Doom, or put in an impossible situation.
However, fans will have to wait for official news for now. So far, there is no word on whether the Spider-Men will be pitting themselves against one another or if they’ll even be in the film. However, they have certainly fueled excitement for what could become one of the MCU’s biggest multiversal moments.
