Patrick Stewart Teases Professor X’s Cameo In ‘Deadpool 3’ While Slamming Shooting Experience On ‘Doctor Strange And The Multiverse Of Madness’

MCEU has been experiencing a lull in its recent theatrical projects, which has made the future of the superhero franchise bleak! However, there are some interesting streaming projects like ‘Echo’ slated to release, with theatrical releases like ‘Deadpool 3’ creating much-wanted hype for Marvel Studios.

Ryan Reynolds-starrer ‘Deadpool’ has been one of the most interesting superhero projects in the universe. The writing, characterization of Wade Wilson, and arc amalgamating the ‘X-Men’ universe make it more entertaining. The hype of ‘Deadpool 3’ increased manifold with the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. But there might be a cameo by another ‘X-Men’ character as Patrick Stewart teases the return of Professor X.

In 2022, when the trailer for ‘Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness’ was released, fans were speculating about the return of Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier, aka Professor X. It was indeed Professor X’s glimpse in the trailer for ‘Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness’.

In Sam Raimi’s ‘Doctor Strange 2’, the fate of Professor X was decided. The head of the MCU’s Illuminati died at the hands of the Scarlet Witch in a brutal scene. During the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast, Patrick Stewart opened up about filming his scenes in complete isolation during lockdown, which was not his favorite part of the process.

During the podcast, Patrick Stewart said, “I was alone. In the big scene, each one of the leading actors had the same [solo] experience; they were shot on their own. It was frustrating and disappointing, but that’s how it has been. The last few years have been challenging.”

The development of ‘Deadpool 3’ has been looking good. The Ryan Reynolds-starrer has a special entry for Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman. The star will be back after five years since 2017’s ‘Logan’ killed the character. Now, Patrick Stewart, during the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast, has teased the entry of ‘X-Men’ character, Professor X.

During the podcast, Patrick Stewart said that he believes Professor X is still around despite his death in ‘Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness’. The actor has said that talks are going on for Professor Charles Xavier’s appearance in ‘Deadpool 3’.

Patrick Stewart said, “I’m going to guess that I might see Patrick Stewart in a Deadpool-Wolverine movie.” He added, “It has come up, there’s been a process,” Stewart revealed. “But the last two to three years have been so difficult with the labor problems and the health problems, COVID, you know…” The film is slated to release in July 2024.
