As fans ready up for ‘Deadpool and Wolverine‘, a new theory suggesting that the film will have an important connection to the upcoming Avengers film ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’. To top it off, several industry insiders have claimed that Robert Downey Jr was even considered for the film to reprise his role as Iron Man.

Iron Man In ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’
For the past year or so, there have been speculations circulating about ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ and that it will immediately lead into ‘Avengers: Secret Wars‘ and feature an appearance by Robert Downey Jr.’s character Iron Man.
Fans have naturally demanded that the studio bring Iron Man back to life following his passing and it is now even considered to be possible through variants of Multiverse Saga.
However, latest rumors insist that Downey was set to appear in ‘Fantastic Four’ but somehow it didn’t work out.

Another insider added that RDJ was considered for a role in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine‘ but was later scraped off.

What Is Deadpool And Wolverine About?
The film marks both Hugh Jackman’s Logan/Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds’s Wade Wilson/Deadpool’s official introduction to the MCU.
‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ features a stellar cast that includes Reynolds as Wade Wilson and Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine.
The official synopsis of the film reads, “When his homeworld faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly suit-up again with an even more reluctantlier… reluctanter? Reluctantest? He must convince a reluctant Wolverine to…”
Leslie Uggams, Rob Delaney, Karan Soni, and Morena Baccarin all return to their respective roles as Wade’s love interest Vanessa; Peter, an X-Force squad member; Blind Al, Deadpool’s gregarious roommate, and Dopinder, Deadpool’s devoted cab driver in the movie. Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova and Matthew Macfadyen as Paradox have joined as new members of the cast.
The film is set to release on 26th of July.
