Scarlet Witch Vs Kang The Conqueror: Who Is More Powerful?

Marvel’s most powerful villain (yet) is finally here. The beginning of phase five introduced the fans to Kang the Conqueror. The entire Marvel universe is terrified by his arrival. But the only person not afraid of Kang is Wanda Maximoff, who stood out as a strong female antagonist/protagonist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Scarlet Witch’s true powers were revealed in ‘Docter Strange: Multiverse of Madness’, making her a potential opponent against ‘Antman and The Wasp’s’ antagonist. Since the introduction of Wanda into Marvel in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ she is proven to be unbeatable, especially with her mind control power. Fans were excited to witness her one-on-one combat with Thanos, but now after Kang’s arrival, the fans can’t keep calm as they demand a Scarlet Witch vs Kang battle.

After the death of her husband, Vision, overwearied by grief Wanda unconsciously releases Choas Magic creating a parallel universe in Westview, and giving birth to two sons. And since the beginning she is portrayed as someone who struggles to control her power, hence making her a ticking time bomb.

Wanda is confronted by a powerful witch, Agatha who was secretly influencing Wanda’s reality and wanted to steal her power. The battle between Agatha and Wanda resulted in the birth of the Scarlet Witch, believing to be more powerful than the Sorcerer Supreme.

Scarlet With believed that the Dark Hold would show her the truth and hence started to get corrupted by it. Soon she learned about the multiverse, which gave her the hope of reuniting with her twin sons.

Scarlet Witch became aware of America Chavez, a supernatural being with the ability to travel across time in the multiverse. While wanting to desperately reunite with her sons, she planned to kill Chavez and steal her powers.

Doctor Strange knows the consequences of messing with time, so he warned Wanda not to do so. In a battle with America Chavez, Scarlet Witch was thrown into a dimension where her kids were terrified to see her and ran away from her variant. While comforting her kids, she realized the powers of DarkHold and decided to destroy it through the multiverse

Kang is recently been introduced into Marvel with phase five, hence his powers are yet to be explored. But according to Marvel Comics, Kang is a highly intelligent scientist who has made several discoveries including the Multiverse. He has abundant knowledge of physics and is the sole survivor of the Multiverse war.

However, Kang is considered the most powerful superhero only because of his ability to travel through the multiverse and comprehend the knowledge behind the working of the multiverse.

On the other hand, Scarlet Witch recently understood the working of the multiverse, meaning she is just a newbie when compare to Kang. Although Wanda can defeat a particular variant of Kang in a one-on-one, the collective power of Kang is multifold higher than that of Wanda. Hence making Kang a threat truly beyond her league.

The Quest for Redemption

As revealed by Hank Pym’s wife, Janet van Dyne, Kang was abandoned into the multiverse by the Council of Kang. Hence this fueled rage and the thirst for revenge within Kang. The Council of Kang expected him to undergo the process of redemption, but instead, he created a dynamic plan to destroy the timelines. On the other hand, Scarlet Witch was seen going all berzerk in the Multiverse of Madness to get her kids.

Unlike Kang, Scarlet Witch underwent the quest for redemption by destroying the Darkhold from all the timelines. Hence this gives Scarlet Witch the upper hand over Kang. And as we know from the history of Marvel, it always kills someone who fails the quest for redemption.
