The Post-Credit Scene Could Be A Clever Bridge To ‘Avengers: Doomsday’
Instead of a new Spider-Man, the scene could be hinting at the next adventure of Peter Parker in the MCU: ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. Marvel has a long history of using post-credit scenes to bridge one blockbuster to the next, and this ending feels like it could be following that same blueprint.

Instead of asking who the tracker is following, perhaps the bigger question is why Spider-Man is no longer on Earth. Post-credits have always been a great way for Marvel to set up a future crossover event. ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ hinted at the impending arrival of Doctor Doom.
‘Thunderbolts’ suggested the Fantastic Four’s arrival on Earth-616. If so, then ‘Brand New Day’ is subtly hinting at the next Avengers movie. Throughout the film, Yelena Belova constantly reminds Peter Parker that he’s dealing with neighborhood threats while others are battling world-changing ones.

One theory is that the tracker is not picking up on a different Spider-Man, but rather finding Peter Parker once he’s already left Earth with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Instead of staying in New York, Spider-Man may be making his way across the Multiverse as the Avengers fight the escalating Incursion threat in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’.

It would be more about Peter’s evolution in the MCU than introducing a surprise character in the post-credit sequence. He’s been protecting streets and neighborhoods for years. Now, he may finally be stepping onto the biggest stage imaginable.
