The Blooper That Managed To Escape The Scissors
In Vanity Fair’s series ‘Notes on a Scene‘, Taika Waititi and Tessa Thompson teamed up together where the actress revealed something huge. She said that he left a shot from her performance. That shot featured her character reacting to Chris Hemsworth’s Thor waking up from the Shared Vision with Asgardian children. But due to the mistake, it looks like she is just reacting to something for no reason in particular.
In her words, “That performance used to make sense because he would wake up. He’d go ‘Ah!’ and then that was my reaction. But now, I just do it for no reason, which is cool, and that’s also an indication of how sometimes, someone can make a performance look crazy when it wasn’t.”
Taika Waititi laughed with embarrassment saying that he didn’t notice it at all. Thompson quickly brushed it off by saying she doesn’t “mind it” and thinks it’s “kind of funny.” As she also commented, “it doesn’t make any sense” but she “loves it.”
Tessa Thompson Hints At A Valkyrie Spin-off
During a new interview with Extra, Tessa Thompson hinted at the possibility of a spinoff. “I don’t know,” Thompson told Extra. “I love playing the character so any chance I get to play her in any form, I’m happy to.” Thompson also talked about Valkyrie’s sexuality becoming a huge deciding factor in the future. “It becomes the only storyline, particularly in a movie like this, where you don’t, frankly, have a lot of room for the storyline,” Thompson said.
She continued, “So there was a lot of conversation in terms of how to treat that with Valkyrie. And I feel really good, personally, about where we got to. I hope that she’s a character that fans continue to connect to, that we have a lot of time to explore her, in all of her humanity. But whether or not she finds love in this movie doesn’t mean she’s not still a fabulous queer character that is open to finding love when it makes sense.”
