Few superhero debates have been as long-running as Spider-Man vs. Batman. Now, Tom Holland had brought his own lighthearted spin to the mix.
In an interview with ET, the Marvel star was asked what advantage Batman has over Spider-Man. Holland’s reply was short, sure, and full of humor.
Tom Holland Backs Spider-Man Without A Second Thought

Instead of comparing the prowess of Gotham’s Dark Knight with Marvel’s web-slinger, Holland playfully waved off the matter. He didn’t really even think about the question. The actor believes that the main thing that Batman has going for him is his money.

Holland said Spider-Man has the advantage because of his superhuman powers, agility, and instincts. “I’d say nothing. He has more money than Spider-Man. That’s about it, to be honest.” His relaxed delivery made it clear he was having fun with the question while proudly standing behind the hero he has portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for years.
The comment also followed Holland’s musings on the joys of his current career, saying that recent shoots for ‘The Odyssey’ were a “full circle moment“. The combination of sincerity and humor made it even more memorable.
Even Zendaya Was A Part Of The Batman vs. Spider-Man Debate

This is not the first time that Robert Pattinson’s Batman has been caught up in a friendly comparison with Spider-Man. During a previous interview, Zendaya poked fun at Pattinson for Batman’s lack of superpowers, noting the obvious difference between the two.

Pattinson himself acknowledged that Batman relies on intelligence, training, and advanced technology rather than supernatural abilities. Those are the things that have always been the hallmark of the Caped Crusader. However, in a simple power comparison, Spider-Man’s web-slinging, reflexes, speed, and strength clearly give him an edge.
But Batman has established himself as a hero who has risen above the odds with his preparation and determination. Whereas, Spider-Man continues to captivate audiences with his extraordinary abilities and relatable humanity.
Holland’s playful comment may not settle the argument for everyone, but it certainly gave Marvel fans another memorable quote to celebrate. As long as Batman and Spider-Man remain pop culture icons, the debate over who comes out on top is unlikely to disappear anytime soon.
